ERF Media was founded on 19 October 1959 in Wetzlar, Germany as gospel Broadcasting e.v. and is recognized as a nonprofit organization. The ERF in Wetzlar has over 180 employees which belong to various national and free churches.
In addition to broadcasting in German, the ERF participates in programmes in 45 other languages. For the German-speaking region, the ERF produces ten foreign-language radio programs.
The ERF is a partner of TWR, together broadcasting worldwide in over 230 languages.
As a television and radio company, ERF needs to deal with a huge amount of data. This is why performance, constant availability of data and redundancy are crucial.
The storage solution must not only be fail-safe and efficient, but also provide the simplest possible management.
Some of the high-availability storage servers also need to provide the highest possible performance using Fibre Channel protocol.
Since several years ERF trusts euroNAS solutions because of cluster high availability technology and easy to use interface in combination with affordable costs.
Installations vary from Fibre Channel Cluster with around 60 TB up to premium systems with up to 160 TB.
Currently the following euroNAS products are used by ERF:
- Fibre Channel Cluster (Post Processing with data mirroring between 2 sites)
- HA Cluster (Virtualization, File Services)
- Premium (File Services, Fibre Channel Storage for XSAN)
“euroNAS Products are very stable and safe. In case we need help we can always rely on very good and helpful support.“
