The VIBTEC GmbH is an independent, medium-sized company and provides engineering services for product qualification.
VIBTEC GmbH has many years of experience and expertise in the areas of vibration control, environmental simulation, vibro-acoustic and optical measurement technology, business and accelerated life testing. Its customers include large automotive companies, as well as small and medium enterprises. They come from the following industries: automotive, aviation and aerospace technology, railway technology, microelectronics, drive and control technology, mechanical engineering.
The Challenge
Due to the rapid growth of corporate data Vibtec was looking for a flexible and reliable central file server for storing company data. Also the company was looking for a reliable data backup. Prior to purchasing euroNAS, all data was stored on a Windows Domain Controller and backed up with an expensive tape backup solution. Vibtec needed a reliable, however above more confortable alternative that was easier to manage. Access to the backup needed to be much faster and easier in emergency than with the current solution. Competent technical support was also one of the mayor criterias.
The solution
Due to the excellent price-performance ratio as well as the integrated server synchronization (data replication) the decision was made to use euroNAS Premium. Since 2007 VIBTEC GmbH uses euroNAS solutions in an Active Directory environment euroNAS server as data and backup server.
A euroNAS server is thereby used as a data server and replicates itself automatically at regular intervals to the second euroNAS backup server.
Another feature that the VIBTEC GmbH was impressed with was the hardware independence. This made the solution flexible and scalable.
I will absolutely recommend euroNAS because of the excellent price-performance ratio. The further developments and the very good support have convinced me!
