The challenge
A television and radio company has to deal with huge amounts of data today. This makes performance, constant availability of data, and reliability crucial.
Besides from being fail-safe and performant the storage solution should also offer the simplest possible administration.
Some of the installations need to store data in 2 separate locations which are connected via Fiber Channel.
The solution
ERF has been relying on euroNAS storage solutions for several years. Several clusters operated over Fiber Channel or iSCSI along with several euroNAS Premium products are used. The solutions range from Premium systems with approximately 60 TB to Fiber Channel clusters with up to 160 TB storage space.
The servers are used as file servers, backup, and storage for XSAN with the protocols SMB / CIFS, AFP, iSCSI and Fiber Channel.
The following euroNAS products are in use:
- Fiber Channel Cluster (post processing with high-performance data mirroring in 2 fire sections)
- HA cluster (virtualization, data services)
- Premium 64 (data services, Fiber Channel storage for XSAN)
The Euronas products are running very stable and secure. If something goes wrong we have very good and helpful support at our side.
