Introduction to Network Functionality in eEVOS

The network functionality in eEVOS is designed to provide robust, flexible, and high-performance networking capabilities essential for modern virtualized environments. Whether you are managing a small cluster or a large-scale infrastructure, eEVOS offers a comprehensive suite of networking features that ensure optimal connectivity, security, and efficiency.

Key Networking Features in eEVOS

VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) Support

eEVOS fully supports VLANs, allowing you to segment your network into isolated sub-networks. This feature is crucial for enhancing security, improving traffic management, and optimizing network performance. With VLANs, you can easily manage and isolate different types of traffic, such as user data, management, and storage traffic, within the same physical network infrastructure.

Network Bonding

For increased reliability and performance, eEVOS supports Network Bonding. By combining multiple network interfaces into a single logical interface, Network Bonding provides redundancy and higher throughput. This ensures that your network remains resilient, even in the event of a hardware failure, while also maximizing the available bandwidth for demanding applications.

RoCE (RDMA over Converged Ethernet)

eEVOS supports RoCE, a protocol that allows remote direct memory access (RDMA) over Ethernet networks. RoCE enables low-latency and high-throughput communication between servers, which is especially beneficial for storage and data-intensive applications. By offloading data transfer tasks to the network hardware, RoCE reduces CPU overhead and enhances overall system performance.

Additional Networking Capabilities

Virtual Switches and Networks

eEVOS offers advanced networking options such as Virtual Switches, which allow for more complex network configurations, including VLAN tagging directly on virtual network interfaces. This enables precise control over network traffic and simplifies the management of multiple virtual networks within your infrastructure.

Network Isolation and Security

With eEVOS, you can implement strict network isolation and security measures to protect your virtual environment. By utilizing VLANs, firewall rules, and secure network configurations, you can ensure that sensitive data is protected from unauthorized access and that your network infrastructure is resilient against potential threats.

Scalability and Flexibility

Whether you are expanding your network or integrating with existing systems, eEVOS provides the scalability and flexibility needed to grow your infrastructure seamlessly. Its comprehensive networking features are designed to support the dynamic needs of virtualized environments, ensuring that your network can adapt to changing demands without compromising performance or security.
