After the cluster creation you can now create cluster drive. This drive will mirror data between the nodes. Alternatively you can also create a shared drive that is accessed by both nodes via iSCSI, SAS or Fibre Channel.
There are 2 types of cluster drives
Server Mirror
Storage of both nodes will mirror between nodes
Shared Drive
Both nodes accessing same storage accessed via iSCSI, Fibre Channel or SAS
This example will show the creation of the most common option “Drive Mirror”.
If you wish to create a cluster drive please click first on “Create Cluster Drive” within “Cluster Drive Management”
Select the type of storage. You can create drive mirror or a shared drive that is accessed by both nodes via iSCSI, SAS or Fibre Channel.
In this example we will create a drive mirror
Chose name for the new drive
Select the local drives from every node
Assign it an ip address and the primary node. You can split the drive capacity between both nodes. And assign each half the different primary node. This way you will achieve active-active configuration and both nodes will be used more efficiently.
Select drive size
After the creation you can see the drive in the cluster drive management
