Network Share Creation

Premium supports variety of network share protocols.

Following protocols are supported : SMB/CIFS, NFS, FTP and AFP

You can create a share via “Data Management” – “Shares” – “Create Share”

First select drive that you wish to use for the network share. Drive must be initialized in drive management first.

Enter name, size, file system and the network protocols you wish to use.

File Systems supported are BTRFS (recommended if you wish to use snapshots) and XFS (default).
NFS is selected later when you assign access permissions for the share.

After the creation you can see your share in the share management. Via “Share Access Control” or “User Icon” next to the share you can define who is allowed to access this share. You can assign local or active directory users and groups. For NFS you can assign the IP addresses or network.
