Creating and Managing Snapshots

Create an on-demand snapshot

  1. Open Snapshots.
  2. Select Create Snapshot.
  3. ChooseSelect the Ceph-backed resource orthat volumeshould fromreceive thea list.snapshot.
  4. Confirm the snapshot creation.
  5. Return to the snapshot overview and verify the snapshot count and last snapshot time.timestamp.

Capacity prerequisite

The test system currently shows a useful warning for the selected XFS volume: snapshot creation fails when no snapshot space is reserved. If this appears, reserve the required snapshot space or adjust the volume configuration before creating snapshots.
