Operational Guidance

The following operational practices help maintain consistent and reliable SDN behaviour within an eEVOS environment.

  1. Inspect switch or migration health findings.
  2. Review reported drift conditions.
  3. Apply reconciliation where appropriate.
  4. Use manual uplink assignment only where necessary.
  5. Re-run health or migration checks after repair.

Best practice

  • Keep loop prevention enabled
  • Prefer one uplink per node unless a bonded connection is required
  • Use bonded connectivity for multi-link designs on the same node
  • Check drift before making manual network changes
  • Confirm migration readiness before planned VM movement
  • Keep switch design consistent across relevant nodes

Troubleshooting approach

Administrative focus

In most cases, day-to-day administration should focus on switch consistency, connectivity health, and correct profile assignment for virtual machine interfaces.
