VM Network Profiles
VM network profiles provide reusable interface settings for virtual machines connected through euroNAS SDN. They help standardise network configuration across multiple workloads.
Purpose of profiles
Profiles reduce repetitive manual configuration by allowing common network settings to be defined once and applied to multiple VM interfaces.
Profile settings
- VLAN
- VLAN Mode (access / trunk / native untagged )
- Allowed VLANs (individual or range - for example 10,20-30)
- Untagged VLAN
- Link state
- Ingress QoS
- Notes and metadata
Using profiles
Profiles are assigned to VM interfaces connected to virtual switches. This makes it possible to apply consistent network policy across virtual machines without repeating the same settings for each individual interface.
Applying profile changes
Supported profile settings can be applied to running virtual machines connected through the SDN virtual switch model.
Operational benefit
Profiles help keep VM network configuration consistent across the environment and simplify administration when deploying or updating multiple workloads.
