Cluster Shares publish eEKAS storage as file services for clients. The Share Management page shows exported SMB/NFS shares and their current runtime status.
Share Management overview
Prerequisites
At least one cluster drive must exist and be healthy.
At least one IP Group must be defined. eEKAS uses the IP Group to decide where the share is attached in the cluster.
Client access, naming and protocol choices should be planned before the share is created.
Create a share
Open Shares & Targets and choose Cluster Shares.
Select Create Share.
Select the backing cluster drive or volume once eEKAS has gathered volume information.
Assign the share to the correct IP Group.
Enable the protocols required by the clients, for example SMB or NFS.
Save the share and verify that the status changes to running.

Operational notes
Use clear names such as projects, backup or engineering.
Avoid mixing unrelated workloads in one share. Separate shares are easier to secure, monitor and snapshot.
If a share must move during node maintenance, check the IP Group placement and the current cluster health first.
